In a strange way it's a good thing when weaker characters are added, teams need to be comprised of different tiers. This is to be their home, their only refuge from the war. My team is made up of three good men Marco, Pavle, and Bruno who are taking refuge in a bombed out house, that is filled with rubble and has been emptied of all comforts by looters. Modding out 'weak' characters means modding out specifically designed balanced game mechanics, so it's no different to modding things like backpack size to bypass the mechanics of inventory management. Having 3 or 4 strong characters 'only' is super OP, because it can make you strong in too many departments (combat, scavenging, trading, cooking, building) instead of just in 1 or 2 departments. Support characters (or 'non scavengers') can do the donkey work of crafting stuff all day long (cigarettes, etc.), as well as other time consuming chores (like tending to the kids).Įven the 'weak' characters (not proficient in combat) are not really weak when they have a gun (Cveta with an AK can take down any location). ![]() Supports can be the silent MVP who goes unnoticed, making life easy for everyone while mr big backpack runs round being the hero. It never matters when a character is deficient in several areas, specially if their one strength is a perk that will underpin the success of the run. which is fine, it's a mechanic, she's a mission objective (cargo that needs protecting). it makes everything else easier (morale will be constant/good, sickness down, recovery up, combat/strength up, etc.) The balance for the perk is she cant do much. The way to think about support characters is to see them as a perk for the run, in the case of Livia her talent basically guarantees the whole team will be well fed everyday, that is kinda big. ![]()
